Photos of Andalusia’s Islamic architecture to grace Tehran Gallery

TEHRAN -- A photo exhibition entitled “Architecture of Andalusia, Documents for the 21st Century” is to open on January 23 at the Tehran Gallery.

Over 100 photos of historical monuments built during the Muslim rule of Spain along with maps will be put on display in the exhibition, which is being sponsored by the Spanish Embassy in Tehran.

Leila Khatami, a cultural official of the Spanish Embassy, said that the maps show the locations of Islamic monuments in Spain but the photos are untitled and the names of the photographers are also unknown.

The exhibition will continue until January 31 at the gallery, which is located on Qods St., Enqelab Ave., near Tehran University.
